Christopher Marshall Bell is a freelance journalist, podcaster and storyteller from the UK based in Valencia, Spain.
One of the UK’s leading cycling journalists who has established a reputation of breaking news and setting the cycling news agenda, he also specialises in long-form interviews and profiles, as well as features covering taboo and underreported topics.
He also covers and investigates sports politics – in particular integrity and doping.

He works regularly for The Athletic (New York Times), The Observer, Escape Collective, Cycling Weekly, Rouleur, Velo, and Cyclingnews.
He also frequently appears on a variety of cycling podcasts, and was previously a host of the highly-acclaimed RadioCycling podcast.
In 2024, he released Ghost in the Machine, a seven-part documentary with Stak examining motor-doping in cycling. It led to changes at cycling’s world governing body, and was also recommended by the New York Times, Guardian, BBC and Telegraph.

As well as continuing his work within cycling, he is currently working on two TV sporting documentaries.
He is also in discussions with a publishing company and is planning on writing his first book.
