Jayco-AlUla will continue

Money is provided just in time

After Escape Collective broke the news on Monday that Jayco AlUla founder and owner Gerry Ryan had not submitted the obligatory bank guarantee to the International Cycling Union (UCI) by the original deadline of October 15 to register both the men’s and women’s teams in the WorldTour next season, the team will reportedly meet a new deadline and race on in 2026.

Under UCI regulations, the initial miss triggered a secondary deadline of November 1 (which is functionally November 3 as the first falls on a Saturday). The team pledges that new deadline will be met.

A team-wide Zoom meeting was held on Thursday afternoon, where management spoke to all riders of the men’s Jayco AlUla and women’s Liv Jayco AlUla teams. They were informed that the bank guarantee from Ryan would be provided to the UCI in the coming days and that the team’s future was secure for the upcoming season.

Multiple sources within the team confirmed to Escape that riders had not known about the absent funds until Escape broke the news. One rider said that “there’s no concern” from the team about its future, so they were shocked to read that Ryan hadn’t provided the guarantee on time.
